According to GES management, the GES 2025/2026 academic calendar applies to both single track schools and transitional schools, with detailed reporting, break, vacation, and off-campus learning periods clearly outlined.
2025/2026 academic calendar for SHS/SHTS – Single Track Schools – Forms 1 and 2
For Forms 1 and 2 in single track schools, students are to report to school from 5 January to 27 February 2026.
This will be followed by a break from 27 February to 3 May 2026. Students will then resume school from 4 May to 21 August 2026, marking the end of the academic year.
2025/2026 academic calendar for SHS/SHTS – Single Track Schools – Form 3
Form 3 students will report to school from 5 January to 27 February 2026, go on break from 28 February to 13 March 2026, and return to school from 14 March to 21 June 2026, which marks the end of the school year.
2025/2026 academic calendar for SHS/SHTS – Transitional Schools – Form 3
For transitional schools, Form 3 students will report to school from 5 January to 31 March 2026. They will observe an Easter break from 1 to 8 April 2026, and then return from 9 April to 21 June 2026, officially ending the school year.

Form 2 students will attend school from 5 January to 15 March 2026, followed by an online/off-campus learning period from 16 March to 17 April 2026. Vacation will run from 18 April to 17 May 2026, after which students will return to school from 18 May to 4 September 2026, ending the academic year.

Form 1 students will begin with online/off-campus learning from 5 to 30 January 2026, go on vacation from 31 January to 15 March 2026, and report to school from 16 March to 17 May 2026.
Another online/off-campus period follows from 18 May to 12 June 2026, then vacation from 13 June to 2 July 2026, before final resumption from 3 July to 4 September 2026.
