Black Sherif has traditionally earned the new title the Nachin Naa of Tamale bestowed on him by traditional rulers in the Northern Region.
The title which translates to English as ‘Youth Chief’ was conferred on Sherif during his tour of the region as part of promotions for his maiden album ‘The Villain I Never Was’ released on October 6.
A video showing the brief coronation ceremony where the top charting artist was adorned in a smock and matching fugu has been shared on social media.
