The Unbeaten Lions, Fettehman United Continue Their March In Division One

Fettehman United FC is fast becoming one of the strongest teams on the Ghanaian football circuit, with the impressive unbeaten journey of a team from Division Two League, Middle League to the UMB Division One League.

Consistency, attacking efficiency and discipline and intensity from the Lions defence has been the basis of their outstanding season. This season, in 35 games, Fettehman United have now picked up a stellar 31 wins and three draws and a single loss, conceding just 12 goals to scoring 65 at home. The team is also an outstanding 24 clean sheets strong, pointing to the strength and organisation that have become hallmark of the team on the defensive side.

That trend has carried over into the current UMB Division One League. After their first three games, Fettehman United are undefeated, showing that this string of victories wasn’t just luck.

They started at a disadvantage with a 0–0 draw with Sharks, but the unbeaten Lions held the fort by the shore and played a disciplined defensive game. They then followed up with an impressive win 2–0 in front of Skyy FC, demonstrating their attacking quality and keeping a clean sheet.

The United boys, in their last outing, gave a great performance against Sefwi All Stars. The Lions led the way and appeared poised for another win but Sefwi All Stars came at them and pulled it off with a 1–1 draw. The Lions had a points deficit, but kept their unbeaten streak alive.

At this early stage in a season, Lions have already proven they have the quality, character and consistency to play to a higher level. With this remarkable form on display, a Premier League run in Ghana could be more than just a dream for Fettehman United, as long as they continue their impressive runs.
