The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Monday, March 15, 2021, commenced the 2021 BECE for School registration of candidates eligible to sit for the 31st edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)
The Examinations Council in a blog post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh indicated the 2021 BECE for School registration when begun on Monday 15th March 2021 will end Friday, May 14, 2021, for all Junior High Schools.
Late BECE for School registration which attracts a penalty of 50% of the 2021 registration fees according to the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) will start Monday, May 17, 2021, and end Monday 31st May 2021.
“Heads of Junior High Schools (JHSs) after the BECE registration process have up to May 31, 2021, to effect changes to the wrong spelling of a name, date of birth at the nearest WAEC office,” the Council stated in the post.
Ghana’s Education Service (GES) has proposed for the 2021 BECE for School examination to start in November however the Management of WAEC has said it is yet to confirm or decide a suitable date to administer the exams.
