The accident reportedly happened at Pokuase at around 2:30 am and the surprising thing is that there was a mad rush for fuel even at that time, and this has garnered some reactions with many asking whether Ghanaians have not learned their lessons after similar accidents caused a fire outbreak as well as loss of lives.
The video was shared on social media by renowned Ghanaian sports journalist, Saddick Adams on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
The video was shared with the caption;
“Accident involving a fuel tanker around Pokuase as at 2:30am and see what people are doing. Lessons?”
Some reactions from Ghanaians are;
@RickyEdem – Same happened last week just before Kpone Barrier…Fire Service and the police themselves were siphoning the fuel into their truck and pickups and extra into these Kuffuor gallons?. So they couldn’t stop people around to do same. Charle!
@Joeasare – They know it is dangerous but ohia asoma wo. Very sad to see things happening anytime a fuel tanker gets involved in an accident. It looks as if they are ok to keep risking just to get few gallons to sell the following day.
@elswoodX – People are ready to go the extreme to survive. They know they danger ⚠️ associated with this but they can’t help it but to go 50/50. I rest my case.
