Accra is currently swarming with security cameras at almost all the busy intersections. The cameras were installed as part of the Accra Areawide Intelligent Traffic Management System.
Over the years, the appropriate bodies have been accused of almost rendering the investment a white elephant as the cameras were inactive.
However, some of the traffic cameras in Accra have been able to capture some near-death accidents in which the drivers were lucky to have survived.
