The final year Post Diploma Students of the University of Education, Winneba, have sounded the alarm bells appealing to the management of the School and the National Service Secretariat (NSS) for the denial of accessing the National Service Secretariat portal.
It is exactly one month after the release of pin codes for enrollment of all final year prospective national service personnel for the year 2021/2022 service year, but these final year Post Diploma Students have not been able to access their PIN codes with their respective Index Numbers and Date of Birth not to talk about starting filling their choices of institution online.
These Post Diploma Students went to their various Departments for something to be done about their NSS registration but they were told the problem is out of their control. They again went to the Students and Academic Affairs of the School on 24th May 2021 concerning the problem they are facing. The Student’s and the Academic Affair of the School then gave them hope and directed the students to access their NSS pin codes for their NSS registration on Wednesday, 26th May, 2021 since they’ve sent all their particulars to the National Service Secretariat.
The story remained the same when these students checked for their NSS pin code on the date they were given to check. Now, the Students and the Academic Affairs have told the students to check again on 2nd June 2021 whiles the registration process of the NSS enrollment ends on 30th June 2021.
The worried students said “We have degree Students and post-diploma students pursuing the same courses but they(Degree Students) have been able to access their NSS pin codes while we (Post Diploma) haven’t”
“Things are not going on well with us, it seems we are not part of the school, the same thing is happening to our results, we’ve not been able to see our results for good one year but our mates(Degree) have been able to get access to theirs. We are left out in everything,” they lamented.
