UEW changes IDeL to College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL)

The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has approved for Institute for Distance and e-Learning (IDeL) to be upgraded to College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL), Management of UEW said Friday.

UEW in a communiqué sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh said the Academic Board’s proposal for the Institute for Distance and e-Learning to a college status was approved at a meeting held on May 31, 2021.

“The University community is hereby notified that the Governing Council of UEW, at its meeting held on May 31 2021, approved the Academic Board’s proposal to upgrade the Institute for Distance and e-Learning to a college status,” it stated.

According to the UEW Management, the Institute for Distance and e-Learning effective May 31, 2021, has assumed a college status with the name College for Distance and e-Learning (CODeL).

“However, until otherwise indicated, correspondence, documents, and records in the name of the Institute remain valid. The University community is to take note of the change and act accordingly,” UEW stated in the release.

Members of the University community have been urged to strictly adhere to the novel safety coronavirus protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and other Health professional to slow the spread of the deadly Covid-19
