This is why Twitter chose Ghana as its destination for its African headquarter

Twitter has announced that it has picked Ghana as the headquarters for its Africa operations.
To build this team Twitter is looking to hire specialists to join several teams while they also “explore the opportunity to open an office in Ghana in the future.”

The co-founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey in a tweet announced the company’s presence on the continent.

Announcing its presence on the continent, the company explained why they chose Ghana as the headquarters for its Africa operations.

It said; “As a champion for democracy, Ghana is a supporter of free speech, online freedom, and the Open Internet, of which Twitter is also an advocate. Furthermore, Ghana’s recent appointment to host The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area aligns with our overarching goal to establish a presence in the region that will support our efforts to improve and tailor our service across Africa“
