The Ghana Security Services is under the Ministry of interior with the president as commander-in-chief.
As part of the General Recruitment exercise, the Ghana Immigration Service will be conducting medical examination for applicants who pass the Body Selection and Document Inspection which was held Monday 25th to 28st October, 2021, and Aptitude Test on Saturday 23rd October, 2021 in all the sixteen (16) regional capitals.
Immigration recruitment requires a good score in the medical examination. Preparing for the medical examination will increase your chances of success to the next stage of the recruitment process.
You might have gone through the body screening and aptitude test stages to qualify for next stage yet the next stage is the most crucial stage.
To qualify out of this stage, applicant should be well informed about the following:
Scars
Scars are marks left on the skin or within body tissue where a wound, burn, or sore has not healed completely and fibrous connective tissue has developed.
In addition, some injuries worsen with time. Although many of the scars or wounds are treated shortly after their injury, some treated wounds or scars grow worse during combat training activities and makes trainers unfit for training. This is why some applicants who have surgical scars or wounds be disqualify in the medical examination process.

Irregular Skeletal Structure
The irregular Skeletal Structure (irregular bones) is bones which, from their peculiar form, cannot be grouped as long, short, flat or sesamoid bones. Irregular bones serve various purposes in the body, such as protection of nervous tissue (such as the vertebrae protect the spinal cord), affording multiple anchor points for skeletal muscle attachment (as with the sacrum), and maintaining pharynx and trachea support, and tongue attachment (such as the hyoid bone). They consist of cancellous tissue enclosed within a thin layer of compact bone. Irregular bones can also be used for joining all parts of the spinal column together. The spine is the place in the human body where the most irregular bones can be found. There are, in all, 33 irregular bones.
According to Rachel Evans, combat training increased bone formation and resorption markers in 2 months, suggesting rapid onset of strenuous exercise accelerates bone turnover similarly in men and women. Although bone turnover makes were higher in men than women.

Venous Malformations (Irregular veins)
Venous malformations (VMs) are a type of type of vascular malformation that results from veins that have developed abnormally, which stretch or enlarge over time. VMs can be extremely painful and sensitive.
A VM usually looks like a bluish discoloration. It can be a single lesion or it may be one of many. It can be confined to one specific area or spread out; and it can be superficial or deep. The walls of a vein that has a VM lack the smooth muscle cells of a normal vein. If the VM is superficial, it will be discolored blue and may appear in different areas of your body (called multifocal), especially around the mouth, lips, tongue, and cheek, side of the face, scalp, and neck. Superficial VMs can range in size from tiny dots to large disfigurations.
VMs tend to get bigger if you cry, push, or otherwise increase pressure on your venous system, this why it will be inappropriate for individuals with such problem may not be accepted into combat requiring services.
Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.

Sickle cell
Sickle cell anemia is one of a group of disorders known as sickle cell disease. Sickle cell anemia is an inherited red blood cell disorder in which there isn’t enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout your body. Normally, the flexible, round red blood cells move easily through blood vessels. In sickle cell anemia, the red blood cells are shaped like sickles or crescent moons.
These rigid, sticky cells can get stuck in small blood vessels, which can slow or block blood flow and oxygen to parts of the body.
There’s no cure for most people with sickle cell anemia. But treatments can relieve pain and help prevent complications associated with the disease.
