Soulja Boy: I Changed the Whole Music Industry- They Follow my ‘Blueprint’ Now

Soulja Boy, reflecting on his influence in the music world said he changed the whole music industry.

In what appears to be like the new trend and way to promote music these days, Soulja Boy was one of the few rappers who became stars through Social Media. The industry is now following his ‘blueprints’ since streaming is now the main source of music consumption.

In a brief post on Twitter, he said;

I really changed the whole music industry. That’s crazy”

He generated millions of views on YouTube and Myspace at a very tender age with tracks like , Crunk That, Kiss Me Thru The Phone, Turn My Swag On etc.

Regardless of one’s views about his music, you cant dispute the fact that the industry follows his formula now.
