Rasta students: Achimota Senior High School sued again
The Accra-based Achimota Senior High School has been sued for the second time by Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabea, one of the dreadlocked students the school denied admission on Friday, March 19, 2021, amid their long hair.

The 2020 BECE graduate lawsuit comes after his colleague Rastafarian Tyron Marhguy last week sued Motown for refusing him admission despite the Computerized school selection and placement system placed him there.

Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabea in his suit has asked the high court to direct the Headmistress of the Achimota School to admit him and also stop the school from ever discriminating against him on the basis of his religion.

Tyron Iras Marhguy in his suit just like Oheneba has asked an Accra high court to order the Management of the Achimota Senior High School to admit him into the school to commence academic activities.

Additionally, Marhguy has requested compensation from the Achimota School for the “inconvenience, embarrassment, waste of time, and violation of his fundamental human rights and freedoms.”
