Ras Nene and team meet Otumfuo Osei Tutu on his birthday; get him to laugh [video]

Ghanaian Kumasi-based comedy group comprising Ras Nene, Kyekyeku, Ama Tundra , Shifo, and 39-40 have been granted audience at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The team was invited to the Asantehene’s palace in line with the Asante monarch’s 71st birthday celebration which took place on May 6, 2021.

A durbar was held on the palace grounds and subjects of the Asante Kingdom were seen paying homage to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The actors were seen coming one after the other and prostrated before the ruler who was seated among his sub-chiefs.

As Ras Nene made his way to pay homage to Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, it appeared the Asante monarch recognised him and he could be seen giving of what looked like a laugh.

The Asante monarch turned 71 years on May 6, 2021, and was celebrated by the whole country and beyond.
