From 2nd April, you need to carry along and show your National cards before you can do Mobile money transactions.
Not however that, the ID you carry should be the one you have used to register the mobile money.
If your momo account was not registered with your own ID card, you need to carry the person along with the ID to be be able to do the transaction. Otherwise, you can’t withdraw your money because the account is not yours.
It is adviced that, if you know you have conducting ID issues, withdraw all you money now or visit the nearest MTN office and get it corrected before the due date.
If you want to know the name and other details you used to register your sim card, dial *400*1#
If you want to know the name and ID you used to register your momo account, dial *400*1#
Those who have both the Sim and Momo account registered with same ID do not have any issues.
