NTC licensing: Check which region is next after Greater Accra

The Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC) Dr Christian Addai Poku says his outfit after ending licensing of in-service teachers in the Greater Accra region later this month, will move the NTC licensing exercise to the Central region.

Speaking in an interview monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, the NTC Registrar said the licensing of qualified teachers in the Greater Accra Region will end on the 26th of May 2021 at various centres.

“We will hopefully on May 26, 2021 end the teacher licensing registration in Greater Accra, so we urge all qualified teachers due to be licensed to visit the Teacher Portal Ghana (https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh) to register for the license card,” Dr Addai Poku stated.

According to him, officials of the National Teaching Council (NTC) after the NTC licensing exercise in the Greater Accra region will move to Central Region and later to the Western region to issue the license card to all qualified in-service teachers.

“So by 2022 every qualified teacher in the country will be licensed and we will have a good database of them, this will help us to know those who are qualified and non-qualified,” the NTC staff told host of the interview, Kwabena Prah.
