NTC gives date to issue license card to Central region teachers
The National Teaching Council (NTC) as part of efforts to promote teacher professionalization says it will from June 1, 2021, commence the issuance of license card to qualified in-service teachers in the Central region.
The Council in a blog post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh said the distribution of the license card exercise when begun on June 1, 2021, will end June 19, 2021, in Central.
NTC has urged teachers in the region who were were employed before September 1, 2018, to log on to the NTC’s Teacher Portal Ghana (TPG) via tpg.ntc.gov.gh and register for the license card and registration number.
“Qualified teachers who fail to avail themselves for this licensing and registration exercise shall lose their right to practise as teachers in Ghana in accordance with section 64 (I) of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act, 2020, Act 1023,” the Teaching Council said in the post.
According to the Registrar of the National Teaching Council (NTC), teachers issued the NTC license card can teach outside the country citing that the card is recognized by the African Federation of Teachers.
