Nigeria coach Austin Eguavoen has reportedly resigned as head coach of Super Eagles, Brila FM confirms.
According to Blueprint, a source in the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) disclosed that he decided to step down following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup after eternal foes Ghana stopped them in their tracks on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Sports Stadium.
The source told Blueprint that Eguavoen has handed over his resignation letter to NFF. Brila FM said he will now return to his role as Technical Director of all national teams.
NFF is, however, yet to release an official statement
