MoE ‘changes’ process to check SHS/SHTS/TVET placement results

The Ministry of Education (MoE), following the redesign of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal, has made changes to how students will check their second-cycle school placement.

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), which once had a simple interface, has now been completely redesigned with cluttered features.

For instance, the old interface required students to enter their 10-digit BECE Index number, followed by the last 2 digits of the year of examination and a 12-digit voucher code to check their school placement, but the new interface requires different details.

For the new interface, students would be required to enter their 10-digit BECE index number, followed by the last 2 digits of the year of examination, and a free access code they will receive via SMS on the phone number used during registration.

The Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) is a computerized platform designed to match graduating Junior High School (JHS) students with Senior High Schools based on their academic performance, program preferences, and available vacancies.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) says this academic year’s Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) will follow clear criteria to ensure fairness to all students who sat for the national examination.
