RB Leipzig centre forward Timo Warner is set to sign a long-term contract worth over £45m with Chelsea according to report from German.

Timo Warner would collect more than €10million (£9m) or €50m (£45m) in total if the deal go through.

It remain unclear how much Chelsea would have to pay Leipzig for the striker, it’s safe to assume it would be closs to his £53million release clause.

The Telegraph previously reported that Chelsea were looking for an opportunity to sign Werner amid Liverpool’s reluctance to meet the release clause.

Timo Warner will be a good hit in the premier league and this would be massive signing for Chelsea who have been inactive in the past two transfer windows.

The 24-year old has raked 31 goals across all competitions this season, including a staggering 25 goals from just 29 appearance in Bundesliga.

Interestingly, Fall also previously claimed that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, who played alongside Werner at Stuttgart, has tried to convince Werner to come to Stamford Bridge.
