According to Liwlin, an entertainment news source, actress Martha Ankomah allegedly refused to work with Kumawood actors and actresses after being approached for a project. Ankomah reportedly told director Frank Fiifi Garbin that Kumawood doesn’t produce any sensible movies, which led to her decision.
In a recent interview, Lilwin expressed his strong disapproval of Martha Ankomah’s recent comments about the Kumawood movie industry. Referring to some of the biggest names in Ghanaian cinema, including Van Vicker, Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah, and others, Lilwin argued that even established actors have worked with Kumawood and therefore it was disrespectful for Martha Ankomah to make such negative generalizations about the industry.
Lilwin went on to mock Martha Ankomah, saying that she has become irrelevant in the movie industry since its collapse. He added that even if she were to offer her services for free, Kumawood directors would not use her because of her disrespectful comments.
The actor concluded by saying that if Martha Ankomah did indeed make those statements, he would be willing to take legal action against her.
