President Nana Akufo-Addo, who chairs the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), has said African leaders in the bloc must take issues regarding the recent coup in Guinea seriously and find a solution to the crisis.
In his opening remarks at the Extraordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government in Accra today, 16 September 2021, the Ghanaian leader said: “We are required to take informed decisions on these matters that would have long term consequences to the stability and the defence of democratic values of our region”.
“I count on you, Your Excellencies, to help proffer durable solutions to the crisis”, President Akufo-Addo said
