Kumawood actor Sekyere Amankwah speaks on death rumours; explains funeral poster

Kumawood actor, Sekyere Amankwah, has denied viral reports on social media announcing his death.

Ghanaians during the day, were hit with a funeral poster, advertising the death of the actor.

Though called Sekyere Amankwah the poster bore the name Akwasi Mensah and this got Ghanaians to ask questions.

In an audio recording stumbled upon by Atinkanews.net , Amankwah has indicated that he is neither dead and nor even sick as being rumoured.

According to Amankwah, who was speaking to colleague actor, Joe Shortingo on phone, he is currently on a location filming a new TV series.

Amankwah wondered why people would assume he is dead when no one has heard of him being sick or suffering any ailment.

He asked Shortingo, who had called to check it if the rumours were true, to disregard them and also thanked him for seeing the need to find out for himself.

The renowned actor mostly plays the role of a fetish priest and has been featured alongside Clara Benson, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Akyere Bruwaa, Christiana Awuni, Apostle John Prah, Emelia Brobbey, and many others.
