Isaac Vorsah: Ex-Ghana international urges Black Stars to work harder for 2026 World Cup qualification
Former Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah has called on the Black Stars to elevate their performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite recent wins over Chad and Madagascar, Vorsah believes the team needs to work harder to secure qualification.
The Black Stars thrashed Chad 5-0 and defeated Madagascar 3-0 in March 2025, boosting morale and indicating progress after a challenging 2024 season.
“We have to work harder, as we want to qualify. We have qualified already for me, but we have to do the work well,” Vorsah said. He emphasized the importance of dedication and commitment to achieving success.
Vorsah’s experience in major tournaments, including the 2010 World Cup and three AFCON appearances, lends weight to his call for greater effort from the current squad.
The Black Stars resume their qualifiers in September 2025, facing Chad and Mali in matchdays 7 and 8. Vorsah’s words of encouragement and advice will be valuable as the team pushes for World Cup qualification.
