“Is the Military Now a Bag Carrying Brigade?”— Social Media folks ask as Picture of a Soldier Carrying the bag of a Private Lawyer Pops Up

Some social media activists have raised concerns over what seems to be the over deployment of Ghana’s military in civil instances.
The Military, a revered institution for some time now has been in the news since the December 2020 election with the opposition NDC members most especially raising concerns about how the state security has become a seemly “bullying” tool in the hands of the incumbent.
In a trending Facebook picture, a soldier is seen holding the bag of lawyer Frank Davies who is one of the lawyers representing President Akufo Addo in the election Petition filed by John Mahama.
People’s concern is that why should a soldier be holding the bag of a private lawyer in that instance when the lawyer perhaps have his personal assistant or junior lawyers in his office.
