A startling disclosure has been made by Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, concerning his modest origins as a young child and his ascent to the top of the corporate ladder.
During a speech at the University of Health and Allied Sciences, he shared his story of how he leveraged a GHC3.00 loan from his mother to become one of the most successful businessmen in African history.
He explained to the audience that after his second cycle of schooling, he was forced to take over management of his mother’s business.
According to the Zoomlion CEO, he acted rapidly to seize an opportunity to create a printing press in 1995 to satisfy the increasing demand.
This resulted in the establishment of the Jospong Printing Press, which he funded with a GHC3.00 loan from a friend.
He was successful in managing the printing press because of his persistence, devotion, and the direction of God. Since then, he has launched multiple businesses, earning him the title of “serial entrepreneur,” which was conferred upon him.
