Gov’t denies stop of recruitment into state security agencies
The Ministry of Finance has debunked a viral report indicating the Akufo-Addo led government has halted the recruitment into state security agencies because there is no money to pay salaries of newly recruits.
According to the Ministry in a statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh, President Nana Akufo-Addo has not directed for the suspension of this year’s recruitment into the various state security agencies.
“We wish to assure all stakeholders that the Finance Ministry is focused on delivering on its mandate through the 2021 budget and the Ghana Cares program to ensure quick recovery of the economy,” the statement said.
Ghana’s Finance Ministry has consequently urged members of the general public to disregard any such rumor and treat any related news as false.
