The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) as part of efforts to promote locally made products, the local textile industry and Ghana’s cultural heritage has introduced a Friday wear made of Ghana made textile for pre-tertiary private school teachers.
Speaking in an interview with EducationWeb.com.gh, an official of GNACOPS said the yard of the fabric will go for GH₵ 25.00 and can be purchased for now at any of the local offices of the Council.
“A yard for the fabric which will be used for the sowing of the Friday-wear for private school proprietors and teachers will be sold for GH₵ 25.00 at the local offices of the Council,” the GNACOPS staff told Okyere Darko George
The new Friday wear he said is to distinguish members of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) from other private school associations in Ghana.
“GNACOPS is determined to put the teaching profession and for that matter Ghana on the world map through fashion as part of the “Wear Ghana” campaign which was launched three years ago,” he added.
