Controversial Ghanaian broadcaster, Captain Smart has made a shocking revelation that justifies why most Ghanaian presidents don’t perform and live to expectations after securing power.
According to Captain Smart, Ghanaian presidents are not allowed to watch and read news from any of the media houses in the nation.
He said that due to security reasons, Ghanaian presidents are only made to read and watch news from international news platforms like CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera.
Captain Smart revealed that during his peak as a staunch NPP member, he was part of those who were feeding the then-president JA Kufuor with news in Ghana and what they mostly do was to brief him with what is going on in the country.
He also said that they sometimes give to the president newspaper that projects the NPP and by so doing, the president does not know what’s actually bothering the citizens since he believes everything that comes from them.
Captain Smart recounted how JA Kufuor once dodged his cabinets and moved to the street with no guide just to listen to what Ghanaians are saying about him.
He, therefore, asked Akufo-Addo to abort the old strategy of governance and move to his people to listen to their cries.
