31st December of every year happens to be a very happy day because the year is about and ending and we show all kinds of appreciation and happiness to enter into a new year.
Due to this fact, what you will see mostly is individuals throwing knockouts in the air and screams all over just to welcome the new year that is coming.
During this years 31st, and unknown fires gunshots in the air just to welcome the coming year 2022 and as we all know such act is a crime because it is classified as causing fear and panic. The Ghana police service have bring out a cash price of ghc 5,000 which will be given to anyone who helps the police find the young man who did this act.
The Police have taken a serious stance against the actions of the young man since it is a crime to discharge a firearm in public without lawful and necessary occasion under Section 209 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (Act 29).
It can be recalled that popular Ghanaian musician known by the stage name as MEDIKAL was recently arrested for brandishing a gun on social and a reckless Benz owner who was also seen drifting in traffic were both arrested because such a act is punishable by law.
The police got to know this act of the young man through a video someone shared on social media, in the video the man was seen firing countless bullets in the air.
This will not be the first and last time the police is taking such action, such actions are punishable by law and the law will surely take it course.
