The Ghana Education Service after the release of school placement for candidates who sat for the 2022 edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination, has officially communicated a new school reopening date for SHS one students.
According to the Service, Form one students in all Senior High Schools in Ghana are to go to school on Monday, February 27, 2023 as effective Academic work begins on that day.
“School officially reopens for Academic work on 27th February for Form ones”, GES shared.
However, reporting date for these students is scheduled for Monday, February 20, 2023. The students are to report to their schools from 20th to pick up their prospectus and complete the necessary registrations and orientations.

The one-week period between the dates is for students and parents to prepare adequately for school and ensure a smooth transition into their schools.
