Focus on resolving economic challenges in Ghana and stay out of Russia-Ukraine conflict – Prez Akufo Addo warned
Charles Owusu, former Head of the Forestry Commission’s Monitoring Unit, has encouraged Ghana to stay out of Russia’s present aggression on Ukraine.
According to Dailymail.com, Russia has “started an all-out war on Ukraine, attacking from the south, east, and north, by land and air”.
“Missiles and bombs poured from the skies, tanks moved over the border, soldiers parachuted into eastern districts, and explosions were heard throughout the nation,” they said.

Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers were reportedly slain.
The Russia-Ukraine conflict is rooted in geopolitics, with Russia, led by President Vladimir Putin, opposing Ukraine’s NATO membership (NATO).
Charles Owusu said Ghana cannot have a substantial effect in the continuing fight, which many worries may create a third global war.
He thinks the government should handle the nation well to help Ghanaians.
He feared the effects of Russia’s actions on the global economy, especially on Ghana, but believes the nation would survive if the government takes the appropriate steps.
To resolve the economic issues facing Ghanaians and to address concerns of Ghanaian students in Ukraine, he recommended President Akufo-Addo and his administration to ignore the Russia/Ukraine standoff.
“Ghana can do nothing about Ukraine.” Ghana has no choice. “We can argue and discuss it, but we can’t have any influence,” he said on Peace FM’s main show “Kokrokoo.”
