A man named Bright Mawuena has said that he punished his daughter, then eight years old, for breaking a neighbour’s phone by putting her left hand in boiling water until her fingers were burned and damaged.
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, an event occurred close to Iconic Montessori School in Abonya, Dodowa, in the Greater Accra Region.
When questioned by the local pastor, Bishop Jordan K. Owiredu of the Redeemed Family Chapel International, the father admitted to inflicting the injury on the kid.
Bishop Owiredu informed ClassFMonline.com that he heard several irate neighbours questioning the guy about the event this morning (Friday, 23 September 2022). He had gone to examine his building site in the vicinity.
A few of them were heard criticizing the dad and demanding that he be brought to the police station before he killed his own daughter.
Bishop Owiredu was so outraged by the act that he took the guy by the hand and personally escorted him to the Dodowa police station to file a report.
The father said to the pastor on the way to the police station that he had disciplined his daughter in this way because he was sick of nagging her not to steal or touch other people’s property
