Prophet Kofi Oduro, founder and leader of Alabaster International Ministry, bemoaned how Ghana’s government handled pandemic relief funding.
Prophet Oduro feels African countries benefited much from the COVID-19 season.
“It is awful to see the riches plundered from COVID in Africa,” he said.
He stated that the government pooled food for its population during the epidemic, whereby government officials benefited themselves from the public purse.
“We have $1 billion flowing into this nation and we can’t locate it. We stated we spent the $200 million to share food in three weeks. Wow!!!!!” he bemoaned in a social media video.
In other developments, Nana Akufo-cabinet Addo’s has been encouraged to be smaller.
Nana Ofori Owusu said this on Peace FM’s morning program “Kokrokoo.” He added that Ghana is in an economic crisis and that it would benefit President to deal with any direction that may negatively affect Ghanaians.
He went on to remark that the size of the government contributes to the country’s difficulties and questioned why the President would still have to deal with over 100 ministers.
“We cannot argue that because we have over 100 Ministers that none of them will be affected, that none of the structures will be diminished, or that the government will not shrink.
“The government must be reduced. You say we are in tough circumstances and must take bold actions. “The measures cannot be one-way; the government must also feel the harsh end of the measure,” he asserted emphatically.
He went on to advise the authorities, saying:
“We must watch out. We’re all under duress. “Salaries aren’t going up, but the impact on the ordinary person is so severe that you can’t comprehend how people are feeling.”
