How Wofa KK died, the media industry is in mourning following the death of veteran broadcaster Martin Kwabena Kwakye, who was popularly known as Wofa KK. He was the host of Oman FM’s “Boiling Point” show.
Many were shocked when they heard the news of his sudden passing. Just yesterday morning, his voice was heard on the radio, only for listeners to be told a few minutes later that he had passed away.
Several co-workers at a media house that is owned by Kennedy Agyapong have shared some detailed information about the recent death of Wofa K K. He was the director of radio at the company. According to the sources, Wofa KK had been experiencing poor health and was absent from work on Tuesday. As a result, he was unable to speak on the radio that day, and listeners may have noticed his absence.
The co-workers went on to say that Wofa KK returned to work on Wednesday and seemed to be in good spirits. He appeared on the morning show and shared his views on the recent cabinet reshuffle by President Nana Akufo-Addo. Unfortunately, sometime later that day, he passed away.
The loss of such a respected and valued member of the team has left everyone at the media house deeply saddened. They have expressed their condolences to his family and friends, and are mourning his passing.
During a morning show, the host went for a commercial break at a few minutes past 9 am. At this point, Wofa KK, who was in the studio, asked for assistance from Kennedy Agyapong, the General Manager, as he was not feeling well. Wofa KK left the studio but unfortunately, his condition deteriorated and he collapsed. He was immediately rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Center for treatment but was declared dead on arrival.
