Demonstrators in Sri Lanka have taken over the Presidential palace in the capital, Colombo and with several pictures and videos shared on Social media, you could see the demonstrators taking comfort in the palace.
The demonstrations have been going on for months in the country over the country’s economic crisis.
The President, Gotabaya Rajapasksa has been moved to a safe place and a report on Aljazeera says, he would resign officially on July 13th as President.
Sri Lanka is suffering from rampant inflation and they are struggling to even import food, fuel and medicine.
It’s clear that things have gotten extremely terrible in the country so much that the citizens decided to take things into their hands.
