Popular Ghanaian socialite, Akuapem Poloo has been convicted by an Accra Circuit court over the nude photo she took with her son some months ago.
Akuapem Poloo was arrested and granted bail over a nude photo she took with her 7-year-old son and shared it on social media over 5 months ago.
Akuapem Polo who has been charged with the publication of nude pictures with her seven-year-old son pleaded not guilty in her first court hearing but changed her plea on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
The court will now sentence Akuapem Poloo on her own plea at later date.
The court, however, has deferred her sentencing to Friday, April 16, 2021, for her to undergo a pregnancy test as a requirement by law regarding a woman who has pleaded guilty in court.
The pregnancy test to be conducted is to ensure that she is not pregnant before she can finally be jailed.
Akuapem Poloo is likely to be handed jail time, community service or a fine based on the presiding Judge’s discretion.
The sentencing of the actress who appeared before the court in a black dress and black nose mask with her hands folded whilst she sobs to plead guilty has been postponed by the presiding judge, Ms Christiana Cann.
