Comedian Michael Blankson laments over high custom duties in Ghana

Ghanaian Comedian based in the United States of America Michael Blankson has lamented over high customs duties in Ghana.

He says his cousins in Ghana are unemployed and would want to venture into business since they are unable to secure jobs.

In his bid to support them, Blankson indicated in a tweet that he bought some of the items to open a shop for his cousins.

However, after spending $10,000 on the items, it gets to Ghana and he has to pay duty of $10,000 to customs at DHL.

To him, it doesn’t make sense that he will buy items for $10K and will have to pay $10K to customs.

He has since called out the Ghana Revenue Authority to do something about the high customs duties in the country.
