Popular radio presenter Captain Godsbrain Smart, famed Captain Smart has been taken off air by his boss for overly criticising the government.
This was revealed by political think tank boss, Franklin Cudjoe, of Imani Ghana.
According to his post , Captain Smart’s boss has been under pressure by some high-ranking members in government to take him off following his incessant commentary on national affairs making the government unpopular.
“Had a worrying conversation moments ago. Captain Smart’s boss has allegedly asked him to go off air for a while as a result of undue pressure that has been piled on him by ‘high ranking officials in government’.
Captain Smart’s crime, allegedly, is that his usual critical commentary on national affairs, is making government unpopular. Really? I hope it is not some over zealous politicians who made those calls. Either way, it paints a gravely intolerant picture. #Fixitnow!”
Meanwhile, Captain Smart’s issue is coming at a time that Ghanaians have started the #fixthecountry campaign against the government.
The #fixthecountry campaign to register their displeasure at the president following the nearly 5% increment in fuel and petroleum prices.

Following the hullabaloo this caused, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has reduced the fuel margin by 8 pesewas per litre at the pump.
