Information reaching OnuaOnline from Ghana’s Legislature indicate the Majority caucus is demanding the removal of Finance Minister, Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta and his Deputy, Charles Adu Boahen.
Addressing the media in Parliament Tuesday, October 25, 2022, they said:
“We are by this medium communicating our strong desire that the president changes the Minister of Finance and the Minister of State in the Finance Ministry without further delay,” 80 of the Majority Members of Parliament have said in a statement read on their behalf by Andy Appiah Kubih.
The group says until the ministers are removed, they will not participate in any business of the House for the government.
The have also cited conflict of interest amongst other things as cause for their call
