Basic schools to break for Easter holidays from April 1-6 – GES
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed Heads of public and private Basic schools in the country to give students academic break from Thursday, April 1, 2021, to April 6, 2021, to observe the Easter holidays.
The one week break comes after the Ministry of Interior declared Friday, April 2, 2021, and Monday, April 5, 2021, as statutory public holidays.
The Service in a statement to the Heads of public and private basic schools sighted by Educationweb.com.gh indicated schools after the Easter holidays are to resume Wednesday, April 7, 2021, for academic activities.
“This is to inform all Heads of public and private basic schools in the Municipality to take an Easter break from Thursday, April to Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Schools are to resume on Wednesday, 7 April 2021,” GES stated.
