The Bank of Ghana has issued a directive banning the pricing, advertising, receipting or making payments for goods and services in Foreign currency in the country.
The directive was issued in a statement released today April 7.
The statement noted that the legal currency in Ghana is the Cedis and should be the only means of exchange.
Most people in real estate often price their houses in dollars but the Bank of Ghana believes it’s one of the reasons for the high inflation in the country.
