Social media has been awash with euphoria from Ghanaians as they sing the praises of the Black Stars who did creditably well in the second Group H match against

Ati Zigi in particular was one of the day’s top performers after making important saves during the game gruelling encounter.

The 25-year-old professional football player for FC St in Switzerland made 27 touches, four significant saves, and five recoveries during the course of the game’s 90 minutes.

Some fans even exaggerated by saying their Ghanaian stopper is better than Manchester United keeper, David de Gea. “Ati Zigi is better than De Gea but Manchester United fans will argue,” a Twitter user, @__Sharyf said.

“Massive and impressive performance from Ati Zigi really kept us in the game,” another tweep added.
