Application for review of NTC teacher licensure exam ends Monday

From Monday, July 12, 2021, the National Teaching Council (NTC) will not accept requests on how challenges confronting the conduct of the NTC teacher licensure examination can be addressed for better results of the exams.

After three years of implementing the Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) on June 25, 2021, NTC has asked stakeholders and the public to submit suggestions on how the GTLE can be administered properly.

The Teaching Council in a blog post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh said the deadline for submission of the application is Monday, July 12, 2021, and only successful applicants will be contacted for further discussions.

Introduced in 2018, the three-year-old Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) is purposely to identify suitable candidates (teachers) qualified to be issued a professional license to teach in the classroom.

The professional license as indicated by NTC is the highest mark of professional accomplishment that makes a Ghanaian teacher a member of the larger network of standing educators shaping the profession and human lives.

A staff of the National Teaching Council (NTC) has told EducationWeb.com.gh that the NTC teacher license card recognised by the African Federation of Teachers can be used to teach in the country and outside Ghana
