The legal aid of Galamsey queen Aisha Huang, Nkrabea Effah Dartey has disclosed that the accused is married to a Ghanaian businessman.
Galamsey Queen Aisha Huang was sent to court today alongside other three suspects who were also involved in illegal mining. The court pronounced her not guilty but however did not grant her bail.
Speaking to the Eyewitness New of Citic FM after the trial today, Nkrabea Effa Dartey said, ““I know she is married to a Ghanaian. I know this because of her Ghanaian husband, a businessman in Kumasi and a master’s degree holder from a Chinese University. He came to my office to engage me as a lawyer.”
Earlier today, Aisha Huang and the other three suspects arrived at the Accra High court Wednesday, September 14, and pleaded not guilty to the two charges of mining without a license and engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a valid license.
They are to reappear on Tuesday, September 27.
Aisha Huang is currently standing trial with three other Chinese nationals; Jong Li Hua, Huang Jei and Huaid Hai Hun
