Aisha Huang forged marriage, passport documents for residential permit – witness says

A second witness of the State’s prosecutor, Supt. David Essien has revealed that the Galamsey Queen, Aisha Huang forged her marriage and passport for an indefinite residential permit.

The State Prosecutor while handing the statements of the witness to the court stated that he had had two encounters with Aisha Huang in 2016 and 2017 as an assistant Superintendent of the Ghana Immigration Service in Kumasi.

“On the face of the passport when we examined it, the accused was on indefinite permit status which was granted to her based on her supposed marriage to a Ghanaian known as Anthony Fabian. However, investigations conducted by the immigration service established that the accused used a forged marriage certificate and forged Ghaianas passport in support of her application for the indefinate residential permit”.

Probed further by Capt Rtd Effah Dartey to give details on how the witness encountered his client, Supt Essien had this to say:

“She was on an indefinite residency permit granted to her based on her supposed marriage to a Ghanaian known as Anthony Fabian. However, investigations conducted by GIS established that the accused used a forged marriage cert and forged Ghana Passport in support of her application for the indefinite residency permit,” the witness said.

“My Lord as a result of this the Comptroller General of the GIS revoked the indefinite residence permit on grounds of fraudulent misrepresentation in accordance with section 22 subsection 2a of immigration act 2000, Act 573 which led to the subsequent repatriation of the accused on 19th December 2018,” the witness added.
