Just a few days after a massive explosion in Ghana that led to the death of many and rendered the Apiate community uninhabitable, another Petrol tanker has exploded in Onitsha, Anambra state leaving many injured.

The explosion occurred when a vehicle carrying mining explosives collided with a motorcycle in the Apiate town, according to the initial investigation.

Several houses and structures in the town were also destroyed as a result of the explosion.

In Nigeria, the petrol tanker’s explosion according to an online report spread and burnt shops and houses nearby as others run for their lives.

According to residents, the accident was caused by the bad portion of Obodo Ukwu junction in Onitsha that caused the tanker to lose balance causing it to fall and explode in the process.
