A leader inaugurates traffic light

I was shocked,and I am still in shock, upon seeing the official inauguration of a traffic light. Per dictionary definition, “inauguration is the formal beginning or initiation of any movement, enterprise, event”,I don’t think traffic lights are one of those things to be inaugurated.

Why on earth must a traffic light be constructed and not used immediately? Why must there be a service to initiate it’s use?
What is the relevance of it’s inauguration? Will it’s inauguration divert it’s initial purpose?

What at all are we introducing into this age? What is the image we are living behind for the next generation?
As I said in the first page of this article, I’m still in shock,trying to recover. All I can finally say is “this nuisance must stop “. If a traffic light be constructed, it should just be used as it was designed for, not waiting to be inaugurated.
