2024 ELECTIONS: Despite The Poor Performance Of Akufo- Addo, NDC Will Not Win The Election- Yamoah Ponko Speaks

Former municipal chief executive (MCE) for Ejisu, Mr. Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, has cautioned his party members not to focus too much on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- performance Addo’ s since it does not ensure the National Democratic Congress (NDC) win in the national election of 2024. Let me tell my fellow party members: Akufo- Addo’ s lies and your terrible performance do not ensure that you (the NDC) will win the elections.

Mr. Afrifa Yamoah Ponko stated on Pure FM Kumasi, ” That is not real; it doesn’ t function that way. ” He counseled the NDC to increase their efforts in working hard, finding hard workers, and successfully presenting their message to Ghanaians so that they would be understood, as this would help them in their message to Ghanaians.

In both the general elections held in 2016 and 2020, the country’ s largest opposition party fell short of the NPP, which is currently in power. Corrupt actions and weak economic management, which the opposition New Patriotic Party had previously highlighted as a campaign strategy, were some of the issues that contributed to their defeat, particularly in 2016. (NPP). Six years after taking office, President Akufo- Addo has been charged with repeating the mistakes the NDC did in 2016.

Political analysts and social commentators contend that corruption and suffering are worse under the Akufo- Addo administration than they were under his predecessor. The price of food and gasoline is rising as the cedi falls against the world’ s major currencies.

But in an interview with Kwame Adinkra on the Pure Morning Drive, Mr.Yamoah Ponkor said that in order to dear the NPP, his party needed strong leaders.

He highlighted that ” We need males, people who can communicate to make the party visible” in order to restore the NDC and John Dramani Mahama to power and lead the country in the right direction.
